FAQS
Let Us Help
DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
No! PT’s in the state of Colorado have direct access, meaning no physician prescription is required to access physical therapy services.
Research has shown that visiting a PT first for most orthopedic conditions actually improves outcomes, saves money, and reduces risk of unnecessary imaging, prescription use, and prolonged episodes of care.
WHAT IS YOUR NEW PATIENT PROCEDURE?
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that will allow your injured area to be examined. Be prepared to move. A thorough examination of your movement, strength, flexibility, posture, and painful areas will be performed. We will be looking at multiple body parts to assess your full body’s function.
The first visit will involve more discussion and questions than subsequent visits as we learn about you and discuss your goals. There will be time for treatment and developing an initial home treatment program.
WHY ARE YOU CASH-PAY?
Not taking insurance helps us provide each client with the care they deserve and far fewer restrictions dictated by insurance companies and systems. We are a streamlined clinic using no support staff or techs to reduce overall costs. This means you spend 100% of the time 1:1 with the therapist. And let’s be honest, I became a PT to work with people like you, not talk with insurance companies.
You will need to check with your individual plan but many insurance providers will allow clients to submit their own claims and be reimburse directly from the insurance company. If this is desired we can provide you with a Superbill at time of service which you will then submit. Most clients will get reimbursed at a much higher rate than the 40% which most clinics receive after submitting claims.
WHAT IS FELLOWSHIP TRAINING ?
Fellowship training is a structured education and mentorship program physical therapists can elect to do once they have completed a residency or are board-certified specialists. It is the most extensive clinical education offered in physical therapy, usually taking around 3 years to complete. Less than one half of 1% of physical therapists complete fellowship training.

Research indicates that fellowship trained therapists use more evidence-informed treatments and guidelines and additionally get people back to what they enjoy in a reduced number of visits compared to non-fellowship trained therapists. Typically that saves you money in the long run.
